Synopsis
The Last of Us Season 1 (2023) is set 20 years after a fungal pandemic has devastated civilization. Joel, a hardened survivor haunted by the loss of his daughter, is hired to smuggle Ellie, a 14-year-old girl immune to the infection, out of a strict quarantine zone. Their perilous journey across a post-apocalyptic America exposes them to infected creatures and hostile humans. Along the way, Joel and Ellie form a deep bond, facing loss, danger, and moral challenges. Joel ultimately chooses to protect Ellie at all costs, even deceiving her about the fate of a potential cure, as they seek refuge in Wyoming.
