Review

Undercover High School” Season 1 kicks off with a refreshing mix of spy thrills and high school hijinks, anchored by Seo Kang-joon’s charismatic turn as Jung Hae-seong. His fish-out-of-water struggles—trading high-stakes missions for classroom antics—are both hilarious and endearing, while Jin Ki-joo’s Oh Soo-ah brings warmth and subtle depth to their budding dynamic. The premise isn’t groundbreaking, echoing classics like “21 Jump Street,” but the execution sparkles with sharp humor, slick action, and a knack for balancing absurdity with emotion.

Early episodes lean heavily into setup, occasionally dragging, but the payoff in character chemistry and plot twists keeps you hooked. A delightful 8.5/10—perfect for fans of lighthearted K-drama flair with a twist of intrigue.
