Synopsis
Save Me Season 1 follows Im Sang-mi (Seo Yea-ji), whose family relocates to rural Muji County after her father’s business collapses.
The cult Goseonwon, disguised as a church, manipulates her parents into joining, exploiting their grief over her twin brother Sang-jin’s suicide—a tragedy triggered by bullying and abandonment by classmates, including Han Sang-hwan (Ok Taec-yeon), the son of a corrupt politician. Three years later, Sang-mi pleads for help from Sang-hwan and his friends, including Suk Dong-chul (Woo Do-hwan), a former convict. Dong-chul infiltrates the cult undercover, while Sang-hwan and allies gather evidence to expose its violent practices, including organ harvesting and psychological abuse.
The season culminates in a desperate rescue mission as Sang-mi’s mother is held captive, and the cult’s leader Baek Jung-ki (Jo Sung-ha) tightens his grip, forcing Sang-mi to confront her trauma and the group’s true horrors.
