Synopsis
Suspicious Partner” is a Japanese drama adaptation that follows the complicated relationship between Haruto Tateishi and Sakura.
The story begins when Haruto witnesses Sakura fighting with her boyfriend, Sota Aoki, who cheated on her. Compassionately, he helps her through her heartbreak, which leads to them spending a drunken night together.
Three months later, their paths cross again when Sakura appears as a public prosecutor intern where Haruto works. Though he treats her coldly, considering her an unfortunate connection, he can’t seem to ignore her completely.
The situation takes a dramatic turn when Sakura is suddenly arrested as a murder suspect. Haruto, now the prosecutor in charge of her case, finds himself unable to believe she’s guilty despite the evidence against her. Episode 1 establishes this complex dynamic as they navigate professional boundaries while dealing with their unexpected personal history.
